The International Soundex Reunion Registryby Nicole Humphrey | More from this Blogger 19 Jul 2006 06:12 AM The first place to start in any search, is with a reunion registry. You need to register first, because it is something you can do without much information! What is a reunion registry? It is a system for matching persons who desire contact with lost relatives, family members or their next of kin-by-birth. Anyone can register, so long as they meet the following requirements:
Once a registration is received by a reunion registry, the information is typically computerized. They usually run it through their system to see if there is a match. If any of the data matches, and it is determined that a relationship between two parties exists, both parties are notified immediately. Typically the information that you need to register, is your date of birth, state of birth, time of birth and any other information you might be able to provide.
However, they also meet the needs of family members who have been separated from each other by adoption, divorce, foster care, institutional care, abandonment, etc. ISRR is not affiliated with any other registry or organization. Nor will they provide a search for you. They are only to register your information so they can try to cross-match you. You may contact them at: International Soundex Reunion Registry, P.O. Box 2312, Carson City, NV 89702 They can also be reached by phone at (775) 882-7755 Or you can print out a registration form online, at ISRR.net Learn more about Nicole Humphrey ![]() Nicole Humphrey is a freelance writer, consultant for CTMH and a Sr. Blogger for families.com.
